Connecting Your Smartlead Account

All cold email data in our platform comes directly from Smartlead so that you have the most up-to-date information possible. All you need is your Smartlead API key.

Finding Your Smartlead API Key

If you don't already know how to find your Smartlead API Key, follow the steps below. Make sure to never share your API key with anyone as this will give them full access to your data. If you suspect your API key has been leaked, make sure to reset it and update any automations and integrations you have.

Step 1: Go To Smartlead

Visit: https://app.smartlead.ai/

Make sure you are logged in as an admin.

Step 2: Navigate To The Settings Page

Click on your profile picture in the top right then select 'Settings'.

Step 3: Generate and Copy Your API Key

If you haven't created an API key before, you'll need to generate one. You'll see an option to do this under the 'Smartlead API Key' section.

Once your API is generated, simply click 'Copy' next to the box to save it to the clipboard.

Integrating Acquisition OS With Smartlead

Now that you have your API key copied, you can connect your Smartlead account to Acquisition OS.

Step 1: Navigate To The Settings Page

Visit: https://app.acquisitionsystems.com/home/dashboard

Click on the settings button in the bottom left corner.

Step 2: Navigate To The Integrations Page

From the left-hand sidebar, select 'Integrations'.

Step 3: Start Smartlead Integration Setup

You'll now see a list of all the different platforms we integrate with.

Select the 'Connect' button under the Smartlead option.

Step 4: Configure Smartlead Connection

You'll now see a pop up asking for your API key, paste it in here.

After you have entered your API key, 2 more options will appear.

Select Meeting Booked Tag: Select the category that you use in Smartlead for marking when a lead has booked a call with you (you should have created this in the previous guide).

No Client ID: If you have all your internal campaigns under a Client inside of Smartlead, you can choose that here. If you don't want to assign a client ID, simply leave it blank

Once you've entered your meeting booked category, you'll now see a 'Connect' button. Select this and your integration will be complete.

Campaign data will be pulled in immeditatly but if you want time to lead, meeting booked data, etc. you'll need to follow the next guide for adding webhooks.
